Parking at Southwest Florida Airport

Parking at Southwest Florida Airport is easy. The Short-term Parking Garage located right opposite the airport’s terminal building offers short term parking, covered as well as open air. The first 20 minutes are free. The Long-Term Parking Lot is located behind the Short-term Parking Garage and offers economy prices for long-term parking with a complimentary shuttle service that pick the traveler and their luggage up by the vehicle and the driver even helps with the luggage, free of charge.

Transfers at Southwest Florida Airport

Rental Cars – The Southwest Florida Airport car rental facility is located on the ground level of the Short-term Parking Garage opposite the terminal. Their rental vehicles are also located in the garage. Off-site car rental offices can be reached through the complimentary shuttle service located on the east side of the parking facility and includes a shelter with a courtesy phone to contact the car rental companies on.

Buses – Route 50, provided by Lee County’s public transportation authority LeeTran, serves the airport and Fort Myers with a direct bus connection. Buses depart from early morning to evening through weekdays and Saturdays and from later morning to afternoon on Sundays. Certain Holidays are exempt.

The nearest Greyhound bus station is located in Fort Myers. There is no direct public transport between the airport and the bus station, although it is possible to travel between the two locations through public transportation. Hotel Shuttles – Some hotels offer an airport shuttle service to their guests. These are arranged by the traveler through the hotel directly. Hotel shuttles will drop their guests off on the departures level.

Trains – The Fort Myers train station is the closest train station to the airport. While it is only a 20 minute drive by car or in a taxi, it can take around 2 hours or more and require multiple transfers to travel from one location to the other using public transportation.
