Train Transfers To and From Southwest Florida Airport

Southwest Florida International Airport doesn’t have a train station. The Fort Myers main train station is located on 6050 Plaza Dr, Fort Myers Travel Plaza and it serves more than 40 departures to various destinations on a daily basis, as well as a number of arrivals.

There is no Amtrak service in Fort Myers. The closest Amtrak stations are in Tampa and in Miami.

The by far easiest and quickest way to transfer from Southwest Florida Airport to the Fort Myers Station is by taxi or car, personal or commercial. It is possible to transfer there via the public transportation system, but it will take well over an hour and require several changes of bus routes along the way. With a car it is a 15-20 minute journey. A taxi will cost around $30.

The train station is located approximately 6 mi/9.5 km from the center of Fort Myers.
